Spring cravings

At first glance, this list might look humble and budget-friendly, but believe me, it is not. Trips to the drugstores are usually expensive and our desires just don’t know how to settle where there are so many new things all the time. Especially with the arrival of the new season. How should we even call this list? Spring wishes? Easter treats? Let’s go to the business!

I never had a lot of luck with Melvita’s products, but a few months ago I got a tester of their apparently famous rose water and I loved it. It was so refreshing, calming and smelled very nice. Source de Roses – Extraordinary water is their version of hyaluronic gel enriched with rose water. I am a huge fan of hyaluronic serums, so this might be for me. As long as it is not sticky. I hate sticky gels. So if this is something like Mineral 89 with the addition of that gorgeous rosy smell – I’m sold!

After being a religious user of Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm from Clinique for years, I think it is time for a change. I love that balm, don’t get me wrong, but it can be boring. I am a huge fan of scented skincare products (sorry Dr. Dray), and the whole experience is very important to me. Elemis Superfood Glow Cleansing Butter has very good reviews. It supposedly also smells very nice, so I added it to my list.

YSL Mon Paris Intensement – according to reviews, this is a jammy rosy smell, perfect for upcoming spring and office friendly. These are very good, solid reasons to try this fragrance and also the packaging looks stunning. At this moment I don’t own a girly fruity-floral scent in my perfume collection, so this could be a great excuse to expand my scent profile. I just hope it is not too strong or too rosy.

The last thing I want to try for months now is White Tea Skin Solutions Brightening Eye Gel from Elizabeth Arden. This is never a line from them; it was launched last year. It seems that is not very popular, because I can’t find many reviews online, but to me, it is very appealing. Again, I want that experience from the product. I want that good-looking mini cream jar and I want to feel the freshness of an eye gel in the morning. Maybe I am overreacting, but this is my idea of the whole skincare thing – experience and results.

I put the morning robe at the center because believe it or not I just bought my first one recently and I am addicted to robes now. I feel like a rock star when leaving my bathroom after shower!

Relaxation before sleep – watching beauty YouTube channels

(taken from: Tati Westbrook Instagram)       Glam Life Guru - Tati Westbrook Tati from L.A. is my favorite ˝YouTuber˝. Her channel was first which I subscribed to and watched regularly. I found it by coincidence, when I was searching for… you know something. She posts videos every work day, so she is very involved in this YouTube thing, I would say it’s her primary occupation. She recently launched her makeup line, she collaborates with Amazon and some magazines.  I believe her reviews are honest, although things are often sent or given to her. Her descriptions, tests, comparisons and swatches of products are very good. Her videos look very professional. They are also very versatile, from testing the most ridiculously expensive products to the cheapest ones.   She mostly filmes in her (new) beauty room, once a week she’s testing how new makeup items perform during running errands. And those kinds of videos I like to watch the most. Recently her fiancé is also pretty involved i

Artdeco: Crystal and Amazing effect mascaras

Artdeco become my favorite ˝drugstore˝ brand. They have high quality products with good ingredients and their production in based in Germany. I think I got rid of all ˝Made in China˝ makeup and decided to avoid some brands in big circle. Quality over quantity – that is my motto for this year. I want to reduce the number of my makeup products and be a selective and not impulsive buyer. Anyway let me show you two of my recent purchases (there were quite a few) from Artdeco.  Crystal mascara&liner ˝Onyx Glamour˝ First I saw Crystal lash mascara top coat from Estee Lauder and got excited as kid, but that one is expensive and always sold out. Then I saw that Artdeco has something similar and could be a great and cheaper (half that price) dupe for Estee, but sadly I was wrong. This is transparent mascara/liner with black and silver shimmer. You could use it alone or as top coat over your favorite mascara to add some sparkle. The product looks great on lashes; it

Artdeco: Mission Ruby Rose eye palette review

The holiday season is a great time for companies to release their limited edition palettes that are very suitable for gifting or just treating yourself to something new… and sparkly. This little gem comes from Artdeco and has a very appealing name –  Mission Ruby Rose. It contains eight eye shadows: two mattes, two satin, and four metallics. The pigmentation varies from shade to shade, which is very usual for the brand. Their products can be either a hit or a miss. Metallics are highly pigmented and just stunning, but full of shimmer, so be prepared for that. Luckily that glitter did not fall all over my face, but it made me nervous during the day… Those shades would be perfect for glamorous looks. The same thing is with mattes, although they are not so ˝loud˝, but can be easily build up. They are very buttery and easy to blend. The satin ones were a disappointment. They provide just a hint of color and are too bright for my taste. Overall it is a solid drugstore palette to add some sp
