Scrub Energisant Purifying Scalp Scrub by Kerastase review

What is your initial thought when you hear about using a scrub for your scalp instead of your usual shampoo? At first, I hated the idea. It sounded almost uncomfortable to me, but thankfully I changed my mind and decided to splurge (with my coupon code) on Scrub Energisant from Kerastase.

This is made for scalp prone to oiliness and dandruff. It exfoliates and detoxifies, also cleans the build-up, and removes impurities. Key ingredients are: sea salt minerals, vitamin B6, and salicylic acid. It is recommended to use it once a week on your wet hair, replacing your regular shampoo. Then you can continue with your regular routine (conditioner, hair mask, oil…).

Here are my thoughts…. After the first use, I was blown away. It was phenomenal. I loved the gentle massage of my scalp, my hair never felt and looked so clean. My roots were lifted for two days, my scalp did not smell as quickly, and everything was just perfect. After the second use, a week later, the results were similar but less obvious. After the third week similar situation. I guess my hair got used to it already.

I am still very happy with the product and I think this is one of the best ones I’ve tried for oily hair so far.

PROS:

  • cleans the hair nicely
  • my scalp is less itchy and does not smell as much when its dirty
  • does not strip down the hair
  • pleasant scalp massage
  • lifts my roots

CONS:

  • price is too high
  • a strong, fresh masculine scent
  • super harsh for the eyes

Relaxation before sleep – watching beauty YouTube channels

(taken from: Tati Westbrook Instagram)       Glam Life Guru - Tati Westbrook Tati from L.A. is my favorite ˝YouTuber˝. Her channel was first which I subscribed to and watched regularly. I found it by coincidence, when I was searching for… you know something. She posts videos every work day, so she is very involved in this YouTube thing, I would say it’s her primary occupation. She recently launched her makeup line, she collaborates with Amazon and some magazines.  I believe her reviews are honest, although things are often sent or given to her. Her descriptions, tests, comparisons and swatches of products are very good. Her videos look very professional. They are also very versatile, from testing the most ridiculously expensive products to the cheapest ones.   She mostly filmes in her (new) beauty room, once a week she’s testing how new makeup items perform during running errands. And those kinds of videos I like to watch the most. Recently her fiancé is also pretty involved i

Artdeco: Crystal and Amazing effect mascaras

Artdeco become my favorite ˝drugstore˝ brand. They have high quality products with good ingredients and their production in based in Germany. I think I got rid of all ˝Made in China˝ makeup and decided to avoid some brands in big circle. Quality over quantity – that is my motto for this year. I want to reduce the number of my makeup products and be a selective and not impulsive buyer. Anyway let me show you two of my recent purchases (there were quite a few) from Artdeco.  Crystal mascara&liner ˝Onyx Glamour˝ First I saw Crystal lash mascara top coat from Estee Lauder and got excited as kid, but that one is expensive and always sold out. Then I saw that Artdeco has something similar and could be a great and cheaper (half that price) dupe for Estee, but sadly I was wrong. This is transparent mascara/liner with black and silver shimmer. You could use it alone or as top coat over your favorite mascara to add some sparkle. The product looks great on lashes; it

Artdeco: Mission Ruby Rose eye palette review

The holiday season is a great time for companies to release their limited edition palettes that are very suitable for gifting or just treating yourself to something new… and sparkly. This little gem comes from Artdeco and has a very appealing name –  Mission Ruby Rose. It contains eight eye shadows: two mattes, two satin, and four metallics. The pigmentation varies from shade to shade, which is very usual for the brand. Their products can be either a hit or a miss. Metallics are highly pigmented and just stunning, but full of shimmer, so be prepared for that. Luckily that glitter did not fall all over my face, but it made me nervous during the day… Those shades would be perfect for glamorous looks. The same thing is with mattes, although they are not so ˝loud˝, but can be easily build up. They are very buttery and easy to blend. The satin ones were a disappointment. They provide just a hint of color and are too bright for my taste. Overall it is a solid drugstore palette to add some sp
