The holiday season is a great time for companies to release their limited edition palettes that are very suitable for gifting or just treating yourself to something new… and sparkly.
This little gem comes from Artdeco and has a very appealing name – Mission Ruby Rose.
It contains eight eye shadows: two mattes, two satin, and four metallics.
The pigmentation varies from shade to shade, which is very usual for the brand. Their products can be either a hit or a miss. Metallics are highly pigmented and just stunning, but full of shimmer, so be prepared for that. Luckily that glitter did not fall all over my face, but it made me nervous during the day… Those shades would be perfect for glamorous looks.
The same thing is with mattes, although they are not so ˝loud˝, but can be easily build up. They are very buttery and easy to blend. The satin ones were a disappointment. They provide just a hint of color and are too bright for my taste.
Overall it is a solid drugstore palette to add some sparkle to your makeup routine, but it lacks that something that even its name is suggesting – the rosy part. One darker true dusty rose, instead of four brights, would make a lot of difference. But that is just my humble opinion.
The packaging is stunning and very compact. The palette comes with a handy mirror inside which is a rare thing these days.
