Maybelline: Lifter gloss 009 Topaz

I recently got a gift card for my local drugstore for my birthday and this product was among a few carefully selected I purchased with it. I can’t explain why, but when I receive a gift card I have an extra hard time choosing what I want to get with it.

Anyway, I’m trying to talk about Lifter gloss from Maybelline in shade 009 Topaz.

This shade is very sheer orange-brown with some shy golden glitter. It is quite shiny but still subtle. I am disappointed about this color, I thought it would be richer and my go-to for this summer, but it is nothing special. In our country, we are very limited in the shade range.

I find it very moisturizing, super comfortable to wear, and quite long-lasting. It can’t be compared to some other similar and more expensive products I own and love (I'm obsessed with Zoeva) but it is great and I would recommend it as long as you can find desired shade for you. It smells like chocolate and coffee to me, very delicious and not overwhelming.

The packaging is superb, especially for the drugstore, it looks and feels expensive.

Yet another expensive list

Welcome to May! A brand new fresh month also means a great excuse to make yet another wish list of things that recently caught my attention. Artdeco: Crystal and Amazing effect mascaras

Artdeco become my favorite ˝drugstore˝ brand. They have high quality products with good ingredients and their production in based in Germany. I think I got rid of all ˝Made in China˝ makeup and decided to avoid some brands in big circle. Quality over quantity – that is my motto for this year. I want to reduce the number of my makeup products and be a selective and not impulsive buyer. Anyway let me show you two of my recent purchases (there were quite a few) from Artdeco. Crystal mascara&liner ˝Onyx Glamour˝ First I saw Crystal lash mascara top coat from Estee Lauder and got excited as kid, but that one is expensive and always sold out. Then I saw that Artdeco has something similar and could be a great and cheaper (half that price) dupe for Estee, but sadly I was wrong. Relaxation before sleep – watching beauty YouTube channels

(taken from: Tati Westbrook Instagram) Glam Life Guru - Tati Westbrook Tati from L.A. is my favorite ˝YouTuber˝. Her channel was first which I subscribed to and watched regularly. I found it by coincidence, when I was searching for… you know something. She posts videos every work day, so she is very involved in this YouTube thing, I would say it’s her primary occupation. She recently launched her makeup line, she collaborates with Amazon and some magazines. I believe her reviews are honest, although things are often sent or given to her. Her descriptions, tests, comparisons and swatches of products are very good. Her videos look very professional. They are also very versatile, from testing the most ridiculously expensive products to the cheapest ones.
