Usually I don’t crave fresh, floral scents, but
for spring I wanted something totally different and step out of my oriental
cloud. I desperately needed a break, because I was literally sick of heavy,
patchouli based perfumes which were wearing me and not the opposite. Selection
of pink, girly juices is huge; I decided to give a chance to Dior for the first time.
Blooming bouquet was first introduced in 2014 and
has established itself quite well in the massive perfume scene. It comes as eau
de toilette and is delicate and shy. Very pleasant, but not groundbreaking. I strongly
think that its name is its savior, otherwise it would be already forgotten. I
would describe it as water infused peony with some fruit. Sadly, at some point
fruity part turns sour on my skin, but that phase doesn’t last long. I really
like that it’s lightly sweet and refreshing. I think this is leaning more
towards younger crowd. It is very easy to wear and definitely a safe blind buy.
Be prepared for weakness and poor longevity.
For someone who struggles with headaches, this would be perfect. It doesn’t
last the whole work day, but it’s great for running errands or quick
refreshment. I don’t think it is worth the price. If money is not a problem and
you want to treat yourself with some Dior – go for it, but otherwise opt for
cheaper versions. Blooming bouquet comes in nicely crafted heavier glass bottle
with one mistake - loose cheap plastic cap, which ruins everything and destroys
the whole image of luxury. Shame on you Dior, you can do better!
Top notes: Sicilian mandarin
