Yves Rocher mini haul

Every year I admire Christmas collection from Yves Rocher. Their products can be so visually appealing, especially those ornament like shower gels with lots of glitters which are unfortunately missing this year. When I decide to finally buy something from their holiday range, they discontinued them. But maybe it’s a good thing, because shower gel that I bought from current holiday collection is just not worth the money.

I’m talking about Clementine and spices limited edition shower/bath gel. It has absolutely nothing in common with my favorite shower gel – Brazilian coffee which is absolutely amazing, creamy and very aromatic. This one is just plain, watery and no festive at all. Like something you would buy for less than an 1€ and not 3,5€. It smells a bit like oranges, but very mildly. I will use it up, but I don’t like it. It’s a shame, because I was really looking forward to try this one and convinced that I will love it.

We started so negative, let’s switch to positive mood. Something I really, really like is Pear and Cocoa hand cream. It smells realistic to me; although my mum said it smells like glue (let’s ignore her opinion, because this is my blog). It sinks into skin very quickly and doesn’t leave that greasy feeling what drives me crazy with other creams. It provides instant relief to dry skin and your hands become baby smooth. The smell is strong only at the beginning, later it settles down to pleasant, light cocoa aroma. So it is office approved and would make a great gift. I would also like to try the body scrub from the same like, but I’m afraid it would be as bad as the shower gel.

The third product is luckily also a great one. I was in search for body cream for everyday use. My legs get super dry and itchy, but I don’t like to use body butters or oils every day. I found this gentle and very moisturizing Pure Calmille cream. Let’s just talk about the packaging, it’s super cute and so simple at the same time. This was the reason I spot it between other creams right away. Secondly I adore smell of chamomiles, which is mild, very pleasant and not overpowering. It’s hard to find body creams with by my opinion basic smells. I use it every night and a little goes a long way. This product has been in Yves Rocher range for a long time, since 1964 and I guess is popular enough to stay on the market.

Yet another expensive list

Welcome to May! A brand new fresh month also means a great excuse to make yet another wish list of things that recently caught my attention. And this is also my birthday month, so I can splurge a bit more. No? Let’s start with something puffy and blue-  Pinko Quilted Nappa leather flat bag . This looks fancier than your usual everyday bag but can be totally worn on many occasions, even if you just go grocery shopping. Why not? Dark blue is gorgeous, very fashionable, and would pair nicely with a plain T-shirt and jeans or your favorite spring dress. Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Lumiere eye and cheek palette  – it is that time of the year again and Estee Lauder is out with another Bronze Goddess collection. This palette surprised me because it is not that warm and bronzy. I love that they also included cool-toned shades and that way it is more versatile. I don’t like the ˝cheek˝ part in the middle, I think it is not practical- I mean how can you reach it with a face brush? Anywa...

Relaxation before sleep – watching beauty YouTube channels

(taken from: Tati Westbrook Instagram)       Glam Life Guru - Tati Westbrook Tati from L.A. is my favorite ˝YouTuber˝. Her channel was first which I subscribed to and watched regularly. I found it by coincidence, when I was searching for… you know something. She posts videos every work day, so she is very involved in this YouTube thing, I would say it’s her primary occupation. She recently launched her makeup line, she collaborates with Amazon and some magazines.  I believe her reviews are honest, although things are often sent or given to her. Her descriptions, tests, comparisons and swatches of products are very good. Her videos look very professional. They are also very versatile, from testing the most ridiculously expensive products to the cheapest ones.   She mostly filmes in her (new) beauty room, once a week she’s testing how new makeup items perform during running errands. And those kinds of videos I like to watch the most. Recently her fia...

Lego: Bouquet of Roses - Botanical Collection

It was Sunday after lunch and I enthusiastically concluded that it was the right time to open my new set of Legos. The box waited for me for three weeks now and I was ready. Because when you are an adult, and you know exactly how much you paid for your Lego set, you want the timing for your ˝play˝ to be just perfect. Bouquet of Roses  was released was released in February, just in time for Valentine’s Day. It captured my attention immediately. I always look at Legos also from that practical site of aesthetics. Does this look good? Is it something I can keep on my shelf as decoration? Will it only look like clutter? You get the point. So yes, these roses looked lovely and I bought them for myself.  This set includes 822 pieces, arranged into 6 packs. The whole building ¨process¨ is divided into three parts. At the end you'll get 12 Roses (3 different types) and 4 branches of Baby's Breath. I believe it took me three hours of slow building and just chilling with some old music i...
