It’s official; I'm the worst at picking up a corrector for blemishes. Last week I had a huge, I mean a huge zit on my forehead, just terrible. And
because I rarely have this kind of breakouts, I don’t own a proper makeup to
cover it. I only use brightener/concelear to lightly cover my under eye area
and that’s of course not suitable for covering imperfections on the rest parts
of my face. It’s too light and bright and it just makes them more noticeable. So last Saturday I went to an urgent hunt for a thick corrector to cover
the ˝big joy˝ on my forehead. My first intention was to buy a camouflage cream
from Artdeco, because it has brilliant reviews. But when I saw all that shades
– I believe there were 10 of them to choose from, I get confused and went away
to another counter. Big mistake was made because, I bought too light concelear
palette. Now it’s a property of new owner, who hopefully enjoys using it.
The next day I made another desperate visit to the drugstore. This time
I was determined to buy that camouflage cream from Artdeco and I (finally)
successfully did. I choose almost perfect shade for me in number 03 – Iced
Coffee.
I must say that I’m impressed. It provides heavy coverage and is primarily
made for covering scars, veins, tattoos… Soon it becomes your best friend. You
need just a tiny amount of it. When it heats up a bit under your finger, it
just blends into the skin beautifully. I apply it with a sponge applicator tip
for eyeshadows, which provides very precise application. Then I settle it with
my Sexy mama from The Balm, which became my favorite. Powder also corrects and
hides minor difference of the color of camouflage, so that it becomes seamless
on my skin.
The only down side it, that camouflage can be too thick for dry skin and
under eye area. It can get into fine lines easily. Maybe you can manage this problem by putting a good moisturizer
or even oil underneath. Camouflage cream is waterproof and very long lasting.
The packaging is typical for Artdeco products. Plastic box is made to be
stored in the magnetic case. The idea of putting cream products in magnetic
cases seems a bit gross to me, because all the impurities and dust will collect
on the product if it’s not sealed properly. I just kept the original packaging.
It’s not the most practical, but works for me.
